SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Applicants must meet the following criteria:


  • ​The applicant, or a parent or grandparent, must have lived in Charlestown for at least 5 years (currently or in the past).
  • The applicant must be attending a 4-year accredited college on a full-time basis
  • The applicant must be entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year,  or pursuing a higher degree.

Scholarship Applications

Required Application Materials:


  • ​High school transcript including the most recent semester grades
  • Proof of acceptance to the college you will attend
  • List of extracurricular activities, community service, volunteer work, and/or employment
  • A 500-word essay responding to the prompt:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:


  • ​The applicant, or a parent or grandparent, must have lived in Charlestown for at least 5 years (currently or in the past).
  • ​​The applicant is attending a tuition-based high school on a full-time basis.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:


  • ​The applicant, or a parent or grandparent, must have lived in Charlestown for at least 5 years (currently or in the past).
  • ​​The applicant must be graduating from high school in the current year.
  • ​The applicant must be entering their freshman year at a 4-year accredited college as a full-time student.

For current high school students who are continuing their secondary education.

For graduating high school seniors who will be entering their first year of college in the upcoming academic year.

The Friends of Ryan “Duce” Morrissey Scholarship Fund was established to honor Ryan’s memory and give back to the community he loved. Through this scholarship, we hope to support students in their educational journeys while helping ease some of the financial burden of pursuing their goals.

This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate strong character, dedication to their education, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their community.​

College Upperclassman Application​


For students who are currently enrolled in college and continuing their undergraduate education or pursing a higher degree.
